Zuzana Ebringerová was born in April 26, 1963 in Bratislava. Close to art since her childhood, she began studying Art History after high school, but illness forced her to interrupt her studies. An expressive visual vitality based on live gestures and bright colorful background is typical for her work. Her subject matter comes from her own imagination and dreams, including nightmares and visions. Her compositions are open and airy that often transform visual reality into suggestive abstract dream-like landscapes frequently with elements of fantasy. LMH has various stages of Zuzana’s work within its collection. In her early works Zuzana tried to capture reality but her later work, full of colors and feelings, she exhibits a great deal more freedom and draws us into magic spaces and stories. The most striking feature of these later works is the powerful displays of emotion that are brought into the foreground through the use of color.
