Róbert Kačánek was born in April 21, 1979 in Prešov. He was attracted to art early in life. Since then, he draws whenever he can. Róbert never lacks themes for his work producing them as fast as a good TV show. –He captures the world of comic thought bubbles, fast cars, airplanes, various street ‘guys’ and superheroes in sleek overalls. His works, sometimes complemented by texts, depicts multiple layers of captivating narrative. Every person he draws has many specific details to show their goals and desires. They experience bizarre situations where reality and fiction, dreams and imagination mix. In some of these stories, the main hero is the artist himself – as Kettlet who is the biggest hero of all. Besides comics characters, Boeings and cars, he likes to be in the presence of people looking at his work, provoking them with his openness and waiting amusedly for their reactions. He lives and creates in Stará Ľubovňa.
